How can a blog make you feel guilty? Well this one does. I hope to one day be able to give all these entries to my kids so that is where the guilt comes in. Don and I aren't frantic videographers or photographers. Between this one and Don's blog, they should be able to piece together something of their childhood. Right?
The winter has been kind to us. Since Leah's birthday, everyone has been healthy up until this week. We all caught a little cold, nothing serious. Leah's birthday was really fun for her. We had a house party with a big princess cake. Some of the kids did crafts and the biggest hit was the Princess and the Pea game where you had to find the ball while sitting on pillows. Ian celebrated by losing his first tooth!
Ian started Karate this winter and really likes it. He also tried basketball and had a really great coach. I wish I could have learned from him. Leah switched dance places and takes tap class on Saturdays. She also tried a soccer/basketball class for little kids. Two activities each was a lot, but it is hard to keep the kids active in the winter. We will settle in for the spring with one activity each. Both kids are getting so tall and grown up. Ian is reading like a champ and Leah knows almost all her letters. Both are doing great in school from what we hear.
Don is super busy with school and church and the ambulance and training for the May marathon in Vermont. He makes me feel so lazy. I've just been trying to squeeze in a little exercise and working a lot. Thank goodness for the time change last week (not to mention the fantastic weather). It is starting to feel a little like Spring. Coming up is Easter, which the kids will enjoy and April break. We are staying local to save money.
Well, hopefully that covers some things and I'll try to blog a little more often.
