Why not to give your kids lots of candy before 9am then expect them to behave.....

Take yesterday for example. By 11am, Ian had had 4 bouts of tears. By 2pm, Leah had slept 1 hour and Ian 0 hours. More candy consumed. Ugh! Even if you think you aren't overdoing it, remember everyone who comes to your house will bring your kids candy!

Seriously, we had a really fun day. Ian was so happy (when he wasn't crying) to see everyone especially Merlo.

We surprisingly bought a bedroom set (after 8 years of looking on and off) on Saturday. We are gearing up for Florida on Friday.

Well, as usual, it has been awhile. Let's get the milestones out of the way.

No, our 14 month old isn't walking yet.
No, our almost 4 year old isn't potty trained yet.

OK, now that that is over with, we can move on to the things they can do and are looking forward to. Check out Don's blog (ctsahd.blogspot.com) for Leah's progress with the potty! It is pretty funny. Ian is now fully back at preschool twice a week. Long story short, his class only has 3 kids in it now. Does Ian care? Not really. Do his parents care? Yes! We are going to supplement his shadow of a preschool with some more activities this summer. The next town over has T-Ball and another close town has summer preschool. We are also going to try to get both kids in swimming lessons.

All this planning has me super excited for good weather. I really detest the winter (I've probably mentioned that 2 or 3 thousand times by now) and thank goodness it is almost over. Don and I are going to try to do the Good Friday walk at our church this year. It is a 20 mile walk to raise money for local shelters. It goes right past my parents house, so hopefully the kids will make it a few miles with us then we can dump them there. Wish us luck!

We are also going to Florida at the end of the month. We had such a good time last year in Tampa in March, we wanted to do a similar trip again. It should consist of lots of swimming for the kids and sunning for the grownups.

Words that Leah likes to say....
"cookie", "doggie" (comes out backwards "goddie"), "up", "chair", "mama", "jooce" (pretty much all liquids), "binky", "baby", "walk", "PAPA!"
